Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CONTRACT HIRE AND LEASING MERGER • Following the recent acquisition of the Kenning Motor Group by Tozer, Kernsley and Mil'bourn Holdings, two major contract hire and leasing companies are to be merged. The new organisation, to be called Kenning Leaseline Fleet Services, will integrate Kenning Fleet Services and the Wadham Stringer Motor Group's Leaseline company.

Together the companies operate some 12,000 cars, vans and trucks and, as part of Europe's largest motor group, will be able to supply UK customers with models from over 20 manufacturers through 65 dealerships nationwide.

An added benefit from the new organisation will be its ability to supply vehicles on outright purchase terms, as well as the comprehensive package of leasing, contract hire and fleet management programmes.

Headquarters of the new company is at Waterlooville, Portsmouth, Hants but, as a matter of policy, there will be strong representation in regional offices, including a northern operation based in Derbyshire, to ensure that existing customers in Kenning's traditional areas will continue to receive high service levels and support.

Further information about the new organisation can be obtained from Kenning Leaseline, telephone (0705) 264411.

FREIGHT ROVER PSV • With de-regulation of bus services set for the Autumn and the consequent growth in demand for smaller passengercarrying vehicles, Freight Rover has formed a new PSV Minibus Fleet Sales Department at its headquarters in Birmingham (021-328 1777).

The British light commercial vehicle manufacturer is wellplaced to take full advantage of the small bus market, with the recent introduction of a new chassis cowl version of its wide-bodied 385 Series vehicles, onto which specialist coachwork firms can build their own 16to 20-seater bus bodies. Already almost 100 of the new bus chassis cowls, each 'plated at 3,850 kg GVW, have been despatched from Freight Rover's plant in Common Lane, Washwood Heath, Birmingham.
