• A former managing director of Mitchell Cotts Freight Forwarding, Ian Robertson, has been appointed managing director of NEC Forwarding.
He has extensive transport, freight and shipping experience and his new post gives him overall responsibility for a range of NFC companies including: Cotrali-Pickfords (wine shipping and bonding), Roadferry Services (UK./Ireland freight), Containerway (including its Barking ICD), Wood International Forwarding and Vincent-Cottell (port agencies), and International Carriers (general rail freight from Europe).
Robertson's remit is to coordinate the activities and encourage growth.
