Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

I WAS AMAZED to read your editorial comment in the issue of May 24 regarding Citizens' Band Radio.

May I ask you to reply publicly or privately to the following questions: Do you realise your readership potential loss if you decry CB?

Are commercial radio telephones dangerous toys? Are coach P /A systems dangerous toys?

Are GPO Radiophones dangerous toys?

Are cassette players dangerous toys?

Are car radios dangerous toys?

. . . . of course not, so why shoot your mouth off before you think? Also why do you assume that CB radios are fitted only to vehicles? There are base stations and hand portables (walkie-talkies to you).

Radio amateurs have had radios fitted to their cars for years yet we do not see thousands of bodies lying in their wake, do we?

I suggest you are over reacting; are you big enough to admit it?

MICHAEL NEWBOLD, East Molesey, Surrey CM will have more to say about CB radio at a later date. — Editor.
