THIS Willowbrook-bodied Leyland Leopard bus has been almost completely rebuilt by National Bus Company subsidiary Yorkshire Traction.
As a one-off exercise the *ebuild project was undertaken o see whether it would be cost )ffective in view of the phasing )ut of a new bus grant.
Among the modifications to he bus is a new heating system vhich uses a pressurised ducted ystem on each side; a KL louble-clearway heater is instal led in a compartment below saloon floor level.
The specification of the bus, originally built in 1965, has been updated to achieve the performance of Leyland Leopard chassis currently in production.
The re-registered and rebuilt bus has received a new Certificate of Fitness for 61/2 years.
