Poor marketing in the UK makes Nino the forgotten offspring in a strong competitive market. It's got the credentials to be a front runner —tough. potential payload and driveline — but strong sales in Ireland. where its assembled after being imported from Japan, are clearly enough to balance the books.

It's built and designed in-house, and the 10.5-litre engine producing 360hp is more than enough for the UK market, despite lacking the characteristics of the modem Swedish and Dutch products. The new cab design looks set to answer criticism about the small cab previously on offer, but operators here might struggle to get the benefits as it's a rare product.
