The 12.6-litre engine that underpins the CF85 is the biggest in the class—it can be found pulling 44 tonnes in the CF tractor range. The consequence is that weight is a problem and you should look to the CF75 if maximising payload. But it fits nicely into a versatile market that requires power as it otters 340. 380 and 430hp_ The engine brake is one of the strongest in the marketplace, and should keep the drums/discs going longer than catered for. Its a UK-specific truck and strong sales and residuals reflect that. Straight beam axles mean impressive ground clearance for oftroad activities, with on-road activities still strong.
The CF85 multi-wheeler range will employ a new 12.9-litre engine for Euro-4 this summer and the cab will also receive a makeover.
