In theory, this van should have died years ago thanks to a carrying capacity that is somewhat oft the pace when compared to the 'high-cube' alternatives. But in reality it's still very much in demand thanks to the car-like setup —some people just don't like the idea of a full-blown van.
And if you can get over the fact that it has only 1.6m3 of loadspace and a payload of 525kg there are pluses. The 1.7-litre COTi unit may be down on power with 79hp when compared to some, but it's a thoroughly modern unit that's acceptably refined and economical. Add to this servicing intervals every 20,000 miles and a spacious carlike interior, and it becomes clear why it still sells in such numbers.
But also take into account this is not originally intended as a load carrier and fully laden it does sutler from stress when pushed.
