Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Bedwas Bodyworks says that it is the first armouredsecurity-vehicle manufacturer to win part-two-standard approval under the BS5750 quality-assurance scheme. Only a handful of UK commercial vehicle bodybuilding companies have so far been approved to meet the requirements of this latest standard.

Bedwas, of Gwent, had introduced its own quality scheme prior to applying for BS5750, which reduced the time and investment needed to gain approval. "The BS5750 approval will bring considerable benefits to the company," says managing director Derrick Painter. "It will allow us to work to one standard rather than a variety of standards required by customers." Painter says his customers will be happy with the uniform standard "as they know that British Standards will be con tinuously assessing our quality assurance performance, thus ensuring that a high uniform standard will prevail."
