of 450 vehicles is a Foden 4000 Series 150-tonne Special Types, Category-Three heavy hauler.
The 6x4 double-bunk sleeper-cab tractor is powered by a 299kW (400hp) Caterpillar air-to-air aftercooled engine, through a Fuller 15-speed gearbox.
Despite its road limitation (as a Category Three) the Foden is capable of over 100km/h. Its Hendrickson RS500 rubber-load-cushion rear suspension give a design rating of 33,000kg.
The tractor pulls a fouraxle low loader trailer built by Grafton of Liverpool, and the last two bogies on the trailer are self-tracking to increase manoeuvrability.
