WORKING ON THE M20 MISSING LINK

• Work is to begin this month on the first of two major contracts to complete the M20 motorway between Maidstone and Ashford in Kent.

The first contract, worth £39.4 million, is to build the 12.1km section between Hollingbourne and Lenham Heath. It has been awarded to Costain Civil Engineering and will comprise a three-lane road with a two-level interchange at Hollingbourne to provide a connection to the A20.

RESTRICTED A40 WESTWAY MI There will be a number of lane closures between the A40(M) junction and the Marylebone Flyover during the next few months during a structural inspection.

The Department of Transport says lane closures will be restricted to weekends, but the hard shoulder may be closed during weekdays.
