• RAND NEW JERSEY • A new ferry route to Jersey and Guernsey is being launched this month.
Mainland Market Deliveries and Commodore Shipping will offer services on five days a week from Portsmouth and they hope to increase the frequency later in the year.
The 30-truck, 12-cabin ferry will sail at 10:30hrs and reach the islands in the evening. Return journeys will be overnight, arriving Portsmouth at 07:00hrs. Contact (0705) 820405/6/7 for details.
