Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• UK trailer maker York is offering a light reefer conversion based on a panel van. The conversion involves the addition of a 76mm urethane foam insulation layer to the van's interior, which is then covered with plywood, coated with a seamless GRP outer skin. The doors are cavity-filled with a 50min insulation core, also covered by a GRP skin.

Typical refrigeration unit on the York conversion is a roofmounted Carrier Zephyr 180, which has a standby and remote socket. The three-phase Zephyr fridge unit can maintain a temperature range between —13°C and +25°C. York will be carrying out the conversions at its Watford engineering centre, and three prototypes have already been produced, including one on a Mercedes-Benz 307D van as a demonstrator.

The kerbweight of the complete 307D reefer van is 2,275kg, allowing a payload of 1, 225kg.

Interior dimensions of the York mini-reefer will vary according to the van chosen and the thickness of foam specified. The panel van conversion will complement York's light reefer box body range, which extends down to 3.5 tonnes GVW, using insulated panels produced at the company's main reefer trailer plant in Harelaw, County Durham.

According to York, the vanbased reefer will be sold in direct competition to similar conversions produced by Wilsdon and GRP Massey.
