NATIONAL Carriers has promoted John Everett to Regional contract services executive for the Southern Region. He was previously sales manager at Brighton, and before that he spent 10 years with the Post Office. In his new role he will be negotiating the sale of the company's contract services.
National Welsh Group of companies has appointed two new divisional managers. Roger Thornton, previously with Yorkshire Traction, has become divisional manager (Gwent Valleys), while William Neen leaves Crosville Motor Services to be divisional manager, Marches and Express.
Kenneth Meehan, formerly with United Automobile Services, Darlington, has been appointed depot traffic superintendent, Woking, by Alder Valley Services. He succeeds M. J. Clancy, who retires after 40 years with the company.
