Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

putting off truck manufacturers from providing vehicles for our Welsh route for distribution rigids. One firm asked if we could run the other way around to save the toll and only three stumped up in 2008.

The biggest was Volvo's FE320 6x2, steering at both ends. Unusually, it was parachuted in from the HQ test fleet, running on Swedish road plates and UK trade plates, a combination that woke up Vosa's finest long enough to check it out on the A40. Apart from uninspiring fuel economy it impressed as a gaffers' truck, cheaper and lighter than an FM but with rather less driver appeal.

Also unlikely to have drivers queuing up was the 7.5-tonne MAN TGL, as luxuriously equipped as an Amish outside privy. Apart from that, an untypically clunky automated gearshift and rather too much unladen weight, there was a damn fine truck trying to get out Performance, ride and handling, cab space and build quality were all top rate.

The market leader at 7.5 tonnes was the DAF LF45.160 with the ultra clean EEV emission rating. So have all you punters been duped by crafty marketing? Absolutely not. No vehicle is perfect, but the little DAF's shortcomings are irritating at worst. Picking the winner in this section required surprisingly little soul searching.
