II Scottish DTC Richard MacFarlane has reserved decision over what action to take against Milnathort, Kinross-based Road Movements Services (Scotland). Fines and costs totalling £725 had been imposed on the company after a switch to interrupt the tachograph and the speed limiter was found in one of its vehicles.
Action adjourned
• North Western TC Keith Waterworth has adjourned consideration of disciplinary action against Penrith-based SI&S Hastings pending the outcome of a prosecution in the magistrates court. But he indicated the firm would probably escape with a warning.
Licence lost
• The three-vehicle/threetrailer licence held by EuroLogistics International of Torquay was revoked when the company failed to appear before West Midland DTC Alan Cartel]. There had been convictions; the company had moved from its operating centre without notification; and there had been material changes in the people involved.
Regular speeder
I Persistent speeding by a Inverness-shire based IF Construction driver has led to its two-vehicle licence being suspended for three weeks. At an Inverness disciplinary inquiry Scottish DTC Richard MacFarlane heard that driver Andrew Gallagher had been speeding on 76 occasions.
