HORT mid-week tours are becoming increasingly popular. Trent Motor Traction Co., Ltd., are among the operators catering for people who are unable to get away from business at week-ends, and they have introduced a four-day tour to the Lake District and South-west Scotland at £10. Others are:—

Five days: Wye Valley and Wales (£13).

• Seven days: Central Highlands and the Lake District (£19); Devon and Cornwall (£19); Isle of Wight, New Forest and Devon (£20).

Twelve days: Scottish Highlands and Isle of Bute (E32 10s.); South Coast, Devon and Cornwall (£32).

There are also four "Five Ways in Five Days" tours designed for people who wish to return home each night. A tour to such places as Windsor, Chester, North Wales and Stratford-on-Avon is undertaken each day.
