THE offer of Id. an hour increase in pay for maintenance and repair workers of British Road Services has been referred to the Industrial Court, having been rejected by the trade-union side of the National Joint Industrial Council.
Ennployers in the motor-vehicle industry have offered male workers an extra Id, an hour and females A., with proportionate rises for juniors, but the trade unions regarded these amounts as insufficient, Negotiations are to proceed.
