John Sexton of Wishawhased Sexton Transport says he is owed some £20,000, but adds: "I genuinely can't gve them a bad name—he always used to fight to give you a fair rate for the job."
Unsubstantiated rumours circulating in the industry suggest that thousands of pounds had been spirited away from the firm by Semple before he died: KPMG is investigating this, but says it is too early to say if there is any truth in the rumours.
