• ERF has developed a new 4x2 mid-engined bus chassis for South Africa. It suits bodywork of approximately 12m and is powered by an Atlantis Diesel engine, which produces 149kW (200hp) through a ZF six-speed manual gearbox.
The Sandbach-based manufacturer, which sells around 100 chassis into Africa a year, will supply the chassis in knockdown form (UM) for bodying, By the end of the year it plans to send over several chassis.
