Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Daf has announced yet more job losses in the UK and on the Continent, More than a tenth of the workforce, about 1,600 jobs, will go over the next two years mainly in the UK.

The job losses will not affect production levels, says a spokesman. They will be in administration and engineering. Some redundancies will be avoided by staff moving to third parties which have taken over work from Daf.

For example, some computer management staff based in the UK and the Netherlands will now be part of Philips Communication & Processing Services.
