H.P. Andersen 625HD ,y-duty turntable is designed commodate axle loads of
o eight tonnes; the tables are ideal for use ,re cv wheels have to be
turned friction-free for testing steering mechanisms.
The thrust bearings consist of 100 unbreakable nylon balls which, owing to their elasticity, are capable of absorbing short overloads without deformation, according to the suppliers.
Features of the design include a double-locking device consisting of two 16mm hardened locking pins, and scales which give readings of up to 50 degrees to either side. The suppliers say the turntables are virtually maintenance-free and require no greasing. The cost: £397 a pair.
