MEMBERS of the bulk liquids group of the Road Haulage Association are to seek substantial rate increases immediately to cover extra costs incurred during 1975.
"The haulier is now paying more for nearly everything," says Mr George Lilly (John Forman and Co Ltd, Felling-on Tyne), vice-chairman of thE group. " It is in the interests. of road safety as well as of thE operator that the proper pricE should be paid for a service which must be kept at a continuously high level. The customer cannot run the risk oi employing a substandard haulier."
