It is suitable for both in-line and distributor-type pumps. Electronic phasing indicates. simultaneously orr all pump elements, and the calibration system comprises overflow fuel containers on each test injector and the short pipes to the pump. These reduce pressure waves and ensure that no unmeasured outlet fuel can remain on the de-atomizers. This feature is stated to be particularly important when checking starting characteristics of small-output Pumps.
The machine can test six-element pumps and has an infinitely variable speed range from 40-4,000 r.p.m. It has been approved by the B.M.C., Rootcs, Ford, Rover and Vauxhall concerns.
