ARECORD number of goods vehicles and buses was delivered by Leyland Albion (Africa), Ltd., in the year ended September 30. Figures issued by the South African Bureau of Census and Statiitics show that of all heavy buses registered in South Africa last year 48 per cent, were of Leyland and Albion manufacture.
Leyland, Albion and Scammell vehicles accounted for 44.5 per cent. of the heavy goods-vehicle registrations.
In Rhodesia and Nyasaland from January-August this year, Leyland group vehicles accounted for 62 per cent. of heavy-duty vehicle registrations.
