Barr, Wallace Arnold's-, assistant managing director, said in evidence that Bradford had two soccer . teams and a rugby league team, yet. the , public were practically debarred from going to some away matches because facilities were almost non-existent. For West Yorkshire, Mr. W. Hargrave submitted that there was no case to answer as no independent witnesses. had been called. Mr. T. B. Atkinson, for the railways, added that there was no enthusiasm in Bradford for football matches. Railway excursions hid beea poorly supported, and it was obvious that if there was any real need the fbotball clubs would have backed the application.
