Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A FTER hearing about the lack of r liaison between bus operators in the ' Crewe area and the management of Charmond Food Products, Ltd., Holmes Chapel, the North Western Traffic Cornmissioners have offered to send a member of their staff to a meeting between the operators and the factory management if one can be arranged. .

The Commissioners make this suggestion in a reserved.decision on an application by Roberts Coaches, Ltd., Crewe, for two express works services to the factory from Ash Bank and Delamere Street, Crewe (The Commercial Motor; November .21). Roberts have been granted one service with.four picking-up points on the outward journey, restricted io employees • of Charmond Food Products.

In their decision, the Commissioners say they expect the management will in future inform regular transport operators about any difficulties which may arise so that remedial measures can be taken immediately.

'• It may be that an occasional meeting between, say, the personnel manager of the factory and a renresentative of each transport operator concerned . . would serve a useful purpose, as is the experience at many other factories. The Commissioners would be prepared to send a member of their staff to the first meeting to see if he could help."

The Commissioners suggest that if Roberts do not wish' to take up the part grant they will expect Crosville Motor Services, Ltd., to make an early application to. adjust their stage services to the factory. However, Roberts told The Commercial Motor this week that they intend to start operations as soon as possible.
