minimize transport delays I at Manchester Docks, a new scheme will be introduced on January 1, whereby loading priority will be given to hauliers who specify the time their vehicles will arrive on the day before collection. The scheme will be given six months' trial.
Preferential treatment will be given to vehicles only between the hours of 8 and 10 a.m. or 1 and 2 p.m., provided the docks are informed by telephone before 4 p.m. on the previous day. Vehicles must be at the correct delivery points at the specified times or priority will not be given. .
