Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• ERF has won a bid to supply Wincanton Logistics with a specially designed light 6x2 sleeper cab unit. Weighing up to 5% or 400kg less than other manufacturers' versions made for the tender, the Lite is based on the EC11 38MT tractor.

The twin-steer units have an unladen weight of 7,330kg and are now in operation with Wincanton's shared distribution arm NET Logistics.

Most of the weight savings are achieved through the use of smaller 19.5in wheels and tyres on the second axle, an alloy 400-litre tank and reductions in the weight of the air management system.

Based throughout the UK, most of the new units will be coupled to triaxle trailers for a payload of around 26 tonnes. Many will be put to work with a major food manufacturer.

Drivekne components are Eaton 16-speed synchromesh boxes driving Mentor single reduction hypoid axles. Air suspension is used on mid and drive axles with ERF's two-bag non-reactive system on the rear.

ERF is keen to point out that the new Lite is decked out with LX trim throughout.

Purchasing manager for Wincanton Graham Tulloch says: "Many manufacturers produced vehicles near to our specification, but ERF was the only one able to engineer the optimum combination."
