A N express service to Butlin's camp rAat Filey, Yorkshire, was inaugurated last week-end when a 33-seater Allenways coach left 580, Moseley Road, Birmingham, with the first passenger contingent. The service is run by Allenways. Ltd., and Burley's Garages, Ltd., 72, William S:reet, Birmingham, and it is claimed that it is the first joint service of two independent concerns to operate from the Birmingham area.
The primary licence was granted by the West Midland 'Deputy Licensing Authority on July 5, and notice that a backing licence had been granted by the Yorkshire Deputy 'Licensing Authority was _not received until July 27. Other services to Filey camp are restricted to a three-mile radius. The licence is for a weekly service during July and August, and permits the use of one vehicle up to the three
