• Nickerson Transport has taken delivery of a Leyland Daf FAD 2500 [)HS fitted with the new Emco bottom-loader tanker body. The 2.5m wide, seven-compartment aluminium tanker body was built by Ryland Tankers of Redditch, and features Scully anti-overspill probe equipment. Nigel White, sales manager at Rylands, says the bottom-loading tanker improves turnaround at terminals. It makes it easier to do connections at ground level, and recovers petrol vapour which can be harmful to the atmosphere. "Also, compartments may be loaded simultaneously," he says.
