Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Iveco is raising the stakes in the tractive unit power game. From September, the 13.8-litre engine currently used in the 190.36 Turbostar will develop 283kW (380hp) (ISO) compared to the existing 265kW (360hp) rating.

The uprated charge-cooled straight-six engine will have a new fuel injection system and revised pistons which will not From September, the power rating of the 13.8-litre engine in the 190.36 Turbostar will go up to 283kW (380hp). only give it improved power but more importantly reduce emissions. Torque output on the 190.38 engine is also expected to be higher than the current 190.36's 1,766Nm (1,3001ft).

Among the first 190.38 Turbostars to be sold are 300 going to Russian state-owned haulage company Sovtransavto, which will receive its delivery in September.

So far few details have emerged on the revised, lower emission engine, although Commercial Motor understands that it will be adopted by lveco Ford in the UK, possibly in a slightly-downrated form, allowing the retention of the 190.36 badging on right-hand-drive Turbostars.

The move will help close the gap between the existing Turbostar engine options which are currently 268,313 and 358kW (360, 420 and 480hp), and reflects the ever-increasing demand for greater power in top weight tractors.

lveco Ford will be hoping that the more powerful Turbostar will help boost its sales in the top-weight sector where its sales are still disappointing.
