Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• MEGGER Instruments has launched a multimeter for the automotive trade. The AVO M823 digital engine analyser, says the company, is shock and water resistant, with colour-coded graphics and liquid crystal display. Functions include a tachometer.

The instrument measures dc voltage to 200, dc current to 15amps and resistance to 20mOhms. A continuity buzzer verifies the integrity of wiring looms and a diode test function enables semiconductor junctions to be examined. For more information circle Turbo 67.

The M823 can measure the speeds of four, five, six and eightcylinder petrol engines, with separate functions for high-speed engines up to 10,000rpm and low speed to 2,000rpm.
