LESS than a year after the introduction of its Euro-Shuttle express van service into Denmark, Carryfast International Ltd has now extended this express service into Norway and Sweden.
Martin Mannering, general manager of Carryfast International, explained: "We have been testing the operation for some time now and we are fully satisfied that we can achieve a 100 per cent service level."
On the subject of meeting shippers' requirements, Mr Mannering continued: "The only real way to satisfy the shippers' needs is to be conscious of a special effort. . to this end we have arranged a Saturday noon departure from our Heathrow terminal to ship the goods that are trunked down from our other UK branches on the Friday night.
"When the traffic reaches Denmark, our partner, Scan Spedition, has more than adequate staffing at its Herning terminal on Sunday so as to ensure that on-carriage transhiwnent is effected without One of the SPD Group of transport and distribution companies, Carryfast International also operates regular arid economy groupage, interairport air transit and guaranteed departure Euro-Shuttle services between Heathrow and Milan, Vicenza, Florence, Bologna, The Hague, Dublin and Basle; and be between Schiphol, Maastricht and Kestrup airports.
