R GEOFFREY HOWE's Budget brought no particularly bad ?ws for bus and coach operators.
The removal of the 5p difrence in fuel duty between rv and petrol has been moved much to the delight the Confederation of British 3ad Passenger Transport.
CPT director general Denis ain had asked the Chancellor remove the anomaly for the !nefit of public transport and e national economy.
Public service vehicle )erators will still have to pay extra 4p per gallon of diesel oil and will also be faced with an increase in vehicle road tax.
The road tax for psvs is being raised from £25 per year for a twenty seater plus 50p per seat, to £30 per year plus 60p per seat.
