Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

AN advance in the manufacture of material used for the production of reel hoses for the distribution of fuel oils has been made by B.T.R. Industries Ltd. In the past the hoses used for this purpose have been inclined, through solvency, to contaminate the fuel oil and this has been known to be the cause of an increased char value.

This hose, known as the Reelftex, has been designed to overcome this problem, and is manufactured from nitrite rubber, meeting the fuel solubility requirements of BS/3158/1959. A Neoprene cover, reinforced with two cotton braids and antistatic wire, is incorporated in the wall. Supplied with a nonmarking cover, or an abrasion resistant cover, the hose was originally designed for the domestic fuel oil market, but has been used successfully for long deliveries where, in the past, it has been necessary to connect up numerous lengths of normal delivery hose. With the reel-hose system it is possible to have hose ready connected in lengths in excess of 100 ft. coiled on to a 15-in.-diameter drum, thc delivery end of which is fitted with a deliverij gun or coupling as required.
