Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

W the disposal of replaced motor vehicles. Under an Order which comes into force immediately, those replaced under licence by new models must be disposed of according to the directions of the M. of W.T., and the new machines may not be used until this is effected. Vehicles which need not be scrapped but are unsuitable for work in band will receive special consideration, and the Ministry will take into account any suggestion made by the applicant and the recommendation of the R.T.C. Except by the written authority of the latter no new vehicles may be used before compliance with the directions, and this only where essential transport may otherwise beheld up.

OBITUARY

NVEregret to record the death of M.r. T. Hewstone, at the early age of 48 years. He was managing director of T. Hewstone and Co.. Ltd., and H.O.K. Transport Co., Ltd., both of Blackheath, London, S.E.3, and for many years past had been a valued supporter of the Metropolitan Area of Associated Road Operators.
