THE latest development in the milk' bar movement, which is making much headway in this country, is the Morris 10-cwt. mobile milk bar, which is shown in the accompanying illustration, with the chairman of the Milk Marketing Board, Mr. Thomas Baxter, sampling a drink.
The body of this vehicle was designed and built by Messrs. Creaseys and costs
£310 completely fitted up. It was acquired by a South London dairy firm and is claimed to be the first of ite type to be put on the road. The main upper panels hinge outwards to form a canopy over the counters, and full equipment
can be carried for selling both hot and. cold drinks.
Milk and ice cream are stored in insulated cabinets refrigerated with dryice {solid CO,). These. cabinets can be. removed so that the van may, if required, be employed for other purposes.
The design has been carried out with the co-operation and approval of the Milk Marketing Board and the Ministry of Health. If successful, it appears likely that a fleet of similar vehicles may eventually be seen at parks, piers, promenades, sports grounds, fairs, etc., throughout the country.
