I WAS LEFT dismayed and incredulous by the 'penalty' given by West Bromwich Magistrates to Ronald Thomas Armstrong who had no 0-licence (as before), no HGV licence (what a surprise) and was driving a truck with a prohibition (makes a change from 'in a dangerous condition').

Why was this truck not impounded and sold or scrapped?

Far from being given a slap on the back of his hand, this irresponsible person should be excluded from the industry on a permanent basis.I imagine Mr Armstrong is laughing all the way to the bank and from his previous performance will carry on much as before.

Coming to the industry late in my working life and having spent over CI 00k to join, and continuing to spend on statutory inspections, etc, it makes my blood boil to see others who should know better taking this cavalier approach to public safety Chris Rhoades Chris Rhoades Motor Services
