Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Your 'Comment' on the Gordon Goddard Fuel Economy Trial staged ty the Brewery Transport Advisory Committee and the IRTE was very gracious and appreciated by BTAC members and the volunteers who gave of their free time to run the event.

For many BTAC members there was also a tinge of sadness in that it was probably the last time we should see a Bedford factory-entered truck competing.

In my role of promoting the image and aims of BTAC over the last five years I am indebted to Bedford (Trucks) for the support and encouragement afforded myself and BTAC, not only for providing lunch, etc, right from the outset of the trials, but also at our annual seminars and even including a brief potted history of BTAC in a coloured advertising brochure.

One hopes that our many friends in Bedfords will still be around at next year's trial, especially our most ardent supporters, Bob Clader, Dave Martin and Dave Bradley, even though three days previously the finish of a great name in the truck industry had been announced.

All BTAC members, as I feel sure do the rest of the industry, wish our colleagues at Bedford (Trucks) a hopeful future.

Bill Montague Secretary, BTAC
