Joining the staff of Abels of Watton to carry out advanced market research is Carole Toole. Miss Toole joins the East Anglia n removals and storage contractor from the University of East Anglia, Ben McGuire and Douglas Taylor will take over from George Mitchell, secretary of the Road Haulage Association agricultural and livestock functional groups and the Highways and Traffic Standing Committee. Apart from sharing Mr Mitchell's work, Mr McGuire and Mr Taylor will expand RHA services in other directions. The Association's Committee has also lost Archie Glendinning as chairman, his place being taken by Alastair Param ore, a di rector of W. L. Valiance Ltd of Devon.
At the National Bus Company's Alder Valley subsidiary, Bruce Tidy has been made press and public relations officer, succeeding Brian Kennedy who has left the company for health reasons. Mr Tidy was previously with Western National where he was public relations assistant.'
Dr Tom Gibson has become general manager of Solid Waste Engineering Ltd, the Edbro Group company specialising in equipment for the handling and disposal of waste at municipal transfer stations and from factories and office blocks. For the last three years Dr Gibson has been working on a wide range of projects as Edbro Group en neering services manager.

We record with regret tl deaths of Tom Lovett at 45 ar Roy Palmer at 67. Mr LOVE joined North Western BRS 1978 as company engineer, ha' ing previously been assista company engineer for Nonl Eastern BRS. Mr Palmer retire two years ago as Cavenham group transport manager.
