RATES of as low as E5 per 100kg are being offered by Northdown Freight Services on groupage between Britain and Italy.
The company calculates the rates on total weight/volume of goods carried on each journey for any one freight forwarding agent, irrespective of the number of consignments.
Freight is consolidated at the Milton inland clearance depot — formerly the troubled Didcot ICD — on the A34 Newbury-Oxford road. Short-term warehousing is available for export cargo, and groupage collection will be arranged between Northdown and the forwarding agent.
There is a collection and delivery service throughout the United Kingdom, and the service to Milan is operated with Danzas Group Kangaroo trailers. Customs clearance in Milan and a delivery service throughout Italy are also available.
