A OAF coach chassis is now at the Blackpool works of Duple Coachbuilders Ltd awaiting the fitment of a Dominant 12m luxury bOdy. The OAF chassis --the first to be imported to the UK -is in right-hand-drive form and has an 11.6-litre DAF engine mounted amidships under the floor. The chassis is an M82000 DMDL. The chassis has a ZF manual gearbox. The vehicle will be operated by Davies of Tredegar.

A spokesman for DAF told CM last week that the coach had been specially converted to British requirements. He stressed that it was a one off venture and did not necessarily herald a DAF attack on the UK coach market.
