A GRANT of £55,170 is to be paid by Northumberland County Council to United Automobiles Services for the operation of unremunerative bus services in the current year. The figure is £6,348 more than last year.
An independent company, Rochester and Marshall Ltd, is to receive £9,850 for several routes in the Morpeth and Hexham areas.
A county council sub-committee has recommended that the total amount of subsidy should be increased from £80,000 to £150,000 in the 1975-6 year.
