MEMBERS of the committee set up to review the law on drinking and driving have been named this week by Fred Mulley, Minister for Transport. Mr F. A. Blennerhassett QC is the committee chairman, and members include Miss B. E. Sabey, Head of accident analysis at the Transport and Road Research Laboratory, Dr P. A. B. Raffle, chief medical officer for London Transport, and Graham Hill the racing driver.

The committee seeks evidence from people and organizations with general experience of the operation of the drinking and driving law and proposals relating to it. Such evidence should be sent, not later than Decem

Liaison with foreigners

MEMBER operators of the Freight Transport Association who operate foreign commercial vehicles are being asked if they wish the Association to establish liaison committees with those manufacturers. The FTA has liaison committees with British manufacturers at present.
