Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Already substantial savings are being obtained by using portable power tools; they do not require large capital investments and yet they contribute to considerable savings compared with hand-working methods. A typical example is the disc grinder, one of the most versatile power tools; its purchase price is soon recouped from the subsequent savings in labour costs.

Now SKIL has announced two double-insulated disc grinders with a wide range of applications. They are designed for quickly grinding-down weld seams; fettling castings: cutting off risers, angle iron, scaffold tubing, tiles; sanding flat and curved bodywork; cleaning off weld, m,asonry and metal and many other grinding, sanding and cutting jobs.

Both tools are equipped with a heavy-duty 1650W motor and feature double protection against armature burnouts. Carefully hardened bevel gears have precision spiral-cut teeth and self-releasing carbon brushes break contact automatically when worn to the minimum length. The ball-bearing construction, strong aluminium housing and efficient cooling system assure a long tool life and trouble-free performance. In spite of the heavy-duty construction, the machines are easy to handle and have excellent balance.

Standard dquipment includes a grinding wheel, a flange for grinding land cup) wheels, a set of flanges for cut-off wheels, guard for grinding and cut-off wheels, wrench and sidehandle. Extra accessories include guards for cup wheels and cup brushes; an angle-piece for securing the side handle at an angle of 90deg when the grinder 'has to be used on its side; and a depth guide of adjustment, facilitating the cutting of tubings, angle irons, profiles, tiles and so on. A selection of high-quality grinding wheels, cut-off wheels, sanding discs and backing pads completes the accessory line. Marketed by: SKIL (Great Britain) Ltd.. 59 High St., Hounslow, Middx.
