Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

arrestors for commercial vehicle use. When operators make their initial inquiry they quite often are unable to supply us with the exact engine data which we require; ie., cubic capacity, maximum rpm and aspiration methods.

We have in our possession a data list which covers quite a few well-known engines, but this is becoming dated particularly now that a large number of manufacturers of both road vehicles and earth-moving equipment are now fitting American-designed engines. Can you supply details of any recent publication which would list engines and relevant data?

AOne publication which might be useful

is a booklet entitled British Commercial Vehicles for the World issued by Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd., Forbes House, Halkin Street, London, SW1. This is based on tables compiled by us and under "engines" details makes, cylinders, capacity, power output, maximum speed and whether petrol or diesel.

To keep up to date with new engine developments you could file our Road Test Series, which gives full engine specifications of the vehicles tested.
