RELIANCE COACHES FOR TWO: Birch Bros. Ltd., and Shamrock and Rambler Coaches Ltd., Bournemouth, have placed orders for A.E.C, Reliances. Birch Bros. Ltd, has ordered five 470 coaches. They will have 31-ft. 5-in, overall length 41seater Harrington bodies. Shamrock and Rambler specifies three 36-ft.-long 590 coaches to be fitted with 5I-seater Duple Alpine Continental bodies. ROE BODIES FOR OLDHAM: Charles H. Roe Ltd.. of Leeds, has received an order from Oldham Corporation for 10 30-ftfront-entrance 70-seal double-deck bodies for mounting on Leyland chassis already on order, MORE FOR BUTTON Ten more Scammell 19-ft.-long, 8-ton drop-frame semitrailers with automatic coupling have been ordered by Alfred Button and Co. Ltd. Special box bodies are to be fitted by E. J. Baker (Dorking) Ltd., Tonbridge.

HAROLD WOOD ORDERS MANDATORS: Harold Wood and Sons has placed an order for 20 A.E.C. Mandator tractive units. They will be used with tanker semitrailers and will operate on hire contracts.

ARTICS FOR RANKIN : R.. Rankin and Sons Ltd., of Newcastle upon Tyne, a member of the Transport Development Group, has ordered two Leyland Super Comet tractive units and four Scammell 12-ton fifthwheel-coupling semi-trailers.

LEYLAND IN SOUTH AFRICA: Orders placed through Leyland Albion (Africa) Ltd.. Johannesburg, during the past six weeks include 36 Leyland Super Comet and 64 Albion Chieftain long-wheelbase models. Altogether 176 goods and passenger vehicles will be supplied, the largest passenger contract calling for the supply of 24 Leyland Worldmaster underfloor-engined chassis.
