• A director of Nationwide Haulage & Tuition Ltd has been found guilty of dishonest evasion of a liability and fined £500. Roy Tripp of the Great Yarmouth-based LGV driver training and general haulage company appeared last week before Great Yarmouth Magistrates after he gave a defunct company name and phone number to obtain garage services.

Allegations which were made by former franchisee Richard Close against one of Tripp's other companies are not to he pursued, says a police spokesman, because of lack of evidence.

Close's allegations were in relation to Freight Train Ltd of Colsterworth, Lincs.
