REORGANIZATION of passenger transport services in South East Lancashire is to be discussed at a conference in Manchester on December 16 which will be attended by the Minister of Transport.

Municipal undertakings expected to participate are Ashton-under-Lyne, Bolton, Bury, Leigh, Manchester, Oldham, Salford, and Stockport. Others interested include the SI-1MD transport board, LUT, North Western Road Car and Ribble.

This Manchester meeting is one of a series of regional transport gatherings that the Minister will attend, the first being on Tyneside on December 2. Others will follow in January on Merseyside and the Midlands.
