FOUR passenger transport organ izalions have Asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer to receive. a deputation to hear their case for substantial relief from taxation. .

AFTER the inquiry into the battery trade by the Monopolies Commission, and whatever its result, Oldham and Son, Ltd., and their dealers would stand where they were today. This assurance was given by Mr, Stanley Wrigglesworth, general manager of the company, at a dinner held by the concern in London last week to mark Oldham's 90th anniversary.

Mr. John Oldham, chairman, made a plea for politics to be kept out of industry, and for a cut in Government spending.
